For those of you that don’t know it yet, AJ is the master of technique, on and off the bike. Press play and you’ll get a glimpse of why I say that. This sweat-soaking Spin Sculpt is designed to be conducive for those with lower fitness levels, while extremely challenging to the hard core athlete.
AJ says, “The SUPER-sets are SUPER fun in this one!”. The back-to-back chest and back exercises carve up the upper-body, the legs and buns get worked with traditional moves put together in such a way that will burn so good, the crazy hill and endurance drills on the bike torch some serious kCals, and there’s just the right amount of core work to top it off. It is the perfect cardio and strength fusion workout. Nice!

Let’s channel some of nature’s strength, power, and vigor. What’s your spirit animal? (Miriam’s is the eagle.) Bring it to the floor. Bring it to the bike.
We start with a dynamic floor warm-up using the step to get long, warm, and ready. Then it’s three songs on the bike, using extra-light weights (Miriam uses 2lbs), with full-body engagement, speed intervals, and balance challenges.
Between bike rounds, we HIIT the floor hard:
• Round 1 and 2: Two exercises, counting to five on your own, 2:30 each
• Round 3: Four exercises, twice through, 30sec on/7sec recovery
• Round 4: 30sec on/7sec recovery. Another four-exercise finisher — dynamic, kickboxing-inspired, multi-plane movement

Legs get ready, because you’re about to get worked! It all begins with a fast paced short hill climb, which then heads right into a 10 minute glute toning ladder drill. Then to really fire up the muscles in the buns and legs, we pop off the bike, grab those heavy dumbbells, and dive into a series of “Around the World” lunges. Nice. Don’t worry if you can’t do perfect lunges by the way; modifications are provided.
Next, we combine those lunges with some upper body moves to strengthen and sculpt the arms and shoulders, making this a fantastic full body workout! Back to our bikes for a second calorie torching ladder drill… this time it’s all about speed! We finish this amazing Cycle Sculpt class on the floor with more targeted back & core moves aimed at getting those muscles long & lean. Click play to play!
