StraightUp Spin January 19, 2014
Equipment: Indoor Cycling Bike
This ride is completely based upon the importance of tempo. One thing you do not have on an indoor bike is drag. This means the flywheel allows you to build up momentum if you pedal too quickly. In this hour we’re going to focus on keeping your foot speed between 76 and 92 RPM in the saddle. When we come out of the saddle it’s a maximum climb, but we’re going to do two, 1 minute accelerations at 72 RPM. If you pay close attention to matching my foot speed you will maximize your workout. Let’s ride!
